We are seeking, on behalf of one of our clients based in Monaco, aMobile Data Core Engineer who will be responsiblefor the design, integration, upgrade, and maintenance of data core network equipment.

Contribute to the design and architecture of the core data network (4G/5G)
Integrate new designs, features, or fixes
Provide N2/N3 support in the event of critical incidents affecting the core data network
Analyze network traces and logs to troubleshoot routing or session data issues
Define and track KPIs and service quality

Technical stack

LTE, 5G-NSA, 3GPP standards, protocols (Diameter, GTP, SIP, MAP, SIGTRAN), and interfaces (S1, S5/S8, S6a), Core Network Equipment (SGSN/MME, SGW/PGW, STP/DRA), Huawei Ecosystem (vUSN, vUNC, vUGW, vUDG, vMSS, UMG, U2020), VAS/SVA Platforms (SMSC, MMSC, Voice Mail, VVM), IP Protocols (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, DNS), Virtualized Architectures (NFV, VMware, OpenStack), Troubleshooting and Trace Analysis Tools, Scripting (Python, Shell, Ansible)

Desired profile

You hold an engineering degree or a master’s degree (Bac+5) with a specialization in Telecommunications, Networks, or Computer Science, and have at least 5 to 8 years of experience in the telecommunications field, specifically in mobile operator environments.
As an expert in mobile core network architectures, you have a thorough understanding of the LTE/5G-NSA environment and related core network equipment, as well as solid experience with vendor infrastructures (ideally Huawei). Professional-level technical English is required.
You are thorough, self-reliant, and possess strong analytical skills for problem-solving; you know how to prioritize your tasks under tight deadlines and have excellent interpersonal skills for coordinating internal teams and partners.
